Our teaching staff
TONGJI educational team is comprised of experimented and qualified teachers. They apply modern teaching methods, complemented with multimedia and written materials, and seek to adapt their classes to students’ aptitudes. The teachers are all passionate about teaching Chinese language and passing on this culture.
They all have been recruited on the basis of a foreign language Chinese, education, and/or language diploma. Moreover, priority is given to those who have a relevant work experience.
On top of that, the school organize, on a regular basis, targeted trainings in order to strenghten the professional skills of the teachers and to enhance communication within the team in accordance with a collaborative approach.
Improve our practices
At one of these occasions, on 20th may 2018, M. Joël Bellassen, who is Chinese general inspector of the French ministy of Education, president of the World Association of Chinese teaching and of the European Association of Chinese teaching, came to our school to give a conference during a educational experience sharing session of our teachers.
Furthermore, we send our teachers to attend international conferences about education on a regular basis, so they can use and rely on innovative educational practices.
Our teachers also participate in selected permanent training sessions organised by the Haban, such as the Chinese teachers training which took place in July 2018 at the East China Normal University.
Competent instructors
All of our teachers were subjected to a rigorous selection process based on an interview and on the observation and evaluation of several class simulations. They all received a pre-employment training.
